The Fruit Diet is a 14-day rapid weight-loss program. Author Jay Robb claims that you can eat all the fruit you want and lose up to 14 pounds in two weeks.

During November, the 98 Rock Morning Crew -- Mickey, Amelia, Spiegel and their producer, Scott -- will gather up all their willpower and give it a try. WBAL TV 11 News anchor Donna Hamilton will follow their progress.

If you would like to diet along with them, you can check out the diet plan by clicking on the excerpt links in the sidebar provided.

As with any diet, please check with your personal physician before starting.

The 98 Rock Morning crew weighs in and begins The Fruit Diet on Nov. 5. Donna will give updates on the crew's progress every day on 11 News at 5 p.m. and on wbaltv.com.

The foursome will be weighed in again at the halfway point on Nov. 12. Their final weigh-in is Monday, Nov. 19.

We encourage you to check Donna's blog, Hamilton's Habitat, every day and e-mail us your comments.

By the way, pomegranates are currently in season. On The Fruit Diet, they fall under Category 2 (semi-sweet fruits). Many people don't know how to open and eat a pomegranate. To see a demonstration, click on the video link in the sidebar above.
