Tow Truck Loses Load On 95, Causes 2 Crashes

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. -- A multivehicle collision closed down some lanes of Interstate 95 near the White Marsh area Wednesday afternoon, creating a traffic backlog.
Maryland State Police told WBAL TV 11 News that two accidents occurred after a tow truck lost some of the vehicles it was carrying on the northbound lanes of I-95 just south of White Marsh Boulevard shortly after 3 p.m.
Sky Team 11 Capt. Roy Taylor said at least seven vehicles were involved.Police said no one was seriously injured. Emergency crews spent the afternoon trying to clean up the scene. The incident happened at mile marker 66.Police said three lanes of the roadway were shut down, but all were reopened by 5 p.m. However, traffic was backed up several miles at the height of rush hour.Stay with wbaltv.com for more information as it becomes available.
