Just in time following the 2008 Beijing Olympics! Towson University’s Asian Arts & Culture Center celebrates with the Many Moons Festival 2008 in the Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 6th from 11 a.m. – 6p.m.The festival utilizes on six stages and large public area, featuring ten accomplished performing arts groups of traditional and innovative music, dance, arts & crafts, storytelling, Anime, martial arts, and food and teas from around the world, all under one roof.The traditional and contemporary performing artists include Mask Dance of Mongolia, Dance of China, Dance of Korea, Gamelan and Balinese Dance, Dance & Music of
Vietnam, Chinese Classical Music, Puppet Theatre, Indian Classical Music, Contemporary, Music from the Philippines, and Contemporary Music of Taiwan and much more.Children and adults can try their hands on Japanese doll making, origami, Chinese cord knotting, dough figurines, straw weaving, brush painting, Thai fruit carving and much more.Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 at the door, $10 for AA&CC member, $5 for students and children over 3, free for children under 3 with a paying adult.
